Back to the beginning…

The year was 2021… Mitch was emo and Finn was a twink with blonde hair - and it was close to love at first sight. Finn loved how Mitch wore his heart on his sleeve, and Mitch loved Finn’s safe and caring demeanor (and look at Finn, can you blame him?)

They had an amazing first few dates getting noodle bowls, going on hikes, and Finn sneaking Mitch into his parent’s basement to play Mario Kart and eat Chinese takeout (sorry mom and dad).

They made things “official” at a Sammy Rae concert in Denver on August 29th 2021 - and in true gay fashion - moved in together just a few months later.

Our Super Gay Life Together

TRAVEL
The opportunity to see the world together has been the highlight of the last 5 years - and our hope is to continue traveling for the rest of our lives! We’ve been extremely fortunate to take some amazing trips with Mitch’s family - Hawaii, Mexico, and most recently a once in a lifetime Europe trip to Iceland, France and Spain.

We also have some favorite spots to frequent - visiting Finn’s sister Lauren in Disney World, weekend getaways in Vegas, and we’ll never say no to a cruise… beaches, casinos, drink packages, AND buffets?

CONCERTS AND SHOWS
We made things official seeing Sammy Rae and Friends in concert, have seen Mitch’s favorite singer K Flay a couple times, and going to the Era’s Tour was genuinely the happiest day of Finn’s life (hopefully 2nd happiest after the wedding… no promises). More recently, we've loved seeing our favorite drag queens weekly at ICONS! Mitch comes in to see Finn every Friday night at work and together they enjoy the most incredible local queens, and special guests from their favorite show Rupaul’s Drag Race!

SUPER GAY PARTIES
One thing about Mitch and Finn… we love a party. From the beginning (even in our tiny one bedroom apartment) we were hosting game nights, football Sundays, and holidays for our family and friends. Our CROWN JEWEL of an event is our annual GABBLE GOBBLE GALA every fall… you gab, you gobble up the food Finn makes (that Mitch helps on… allegedly) and proudly present a powerpoint to the attendees.

NIGHTS AT HOME
We love a night in with our kitty Misty! Watching Big Brother or Rupaul’s Drag Race every week is a must - and there’s usually at least one Marvel movie or TV show playing every week. We love playing video games together too - usually Pokemon or single player games back to back in our game room.

FAMILY & FRIENDS
We are thankful every day to be surrounded by the most incredible people. We’re extremely fortunate to have loving parents, incredible siblings, high school friendships that have lasted well over a decade, and now an incredible queer community that we see on an almost daily basis. If you’re reading this - you’re part of what makes our lives so special and we’re so excited to celebrate with you.

The Engagement

It was a storybook engagement… Mitch was in sweats, Finn was in a Deadpool t-shirt. We were sharing googley eyes over a Chili’s Triple Dipper and $5 Margaritas on our four year anniversary. We decided after lunch that since it was our four year, it’d be fun to stop by the ring store JUST TO LOOK. Well… there were two matching one-of-a-kind rings that fit perfectly, and we decided we had to buy them. Of course, we agreed we would keep them in a box in the back of the closet until we were ready to officially be engaged.

On the ride home from the ring store we decided we JUST WANTED TO TRY THEM ON to see how they felt… at a stop light we shared a “u down? cool same. guess we’re engaged”. And that was that! We stopped by both of our parents’ houses to share the news, got dinner at Mitch’s favorite spot, The Melting Pot, and celebrated with friends and family over drinks at ICONS .

Not a traditional engagement, but nothing we’ve done up to this point has been very traditional, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

And now the wedding!

We’re starting our married life July 10th 2027, and we’re so happy that you’ll be there to celebrate.
